One Piece TCG Special Event Promo Cards
Special Event Promo Cards are some of the most unusual releases in the entire One Piece TCG game. Unlike tournament prize cards or set pulls, these cards are distributed at real-life events, collaborations, or promotional campaigns tied to the wider One Piece franchise.
Because they are often limited to a single location or one-day event, many of these promos become highly sought after by collectors.
In this guide, we look at several notable One Piece TCG special event promo cards, including stadium collaborations, university events, and Bandai festival giveaways.
Borussia Dortmund × One Piece Promo Card
One of the most talked-about special promos is the Borussia Dortmund collaboration card.
In March 2025, the One Piece franchise partnered with the German football club Borussia Dortmund for a special promotion at Signal Iduna Park. Fans attending the event or visiting the stadium shop could receive a limited Luffy promo card featuring the character wearing a Borussia Dortmund jersey.
Because the event lasted only a short period in March 2025, the promo quickly became a collector item in the One Piece TCG community.

One Piece × Dodgers Night (MLB Collaboration)
Another collaboration happened in the United States with Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on July 3, 2025.
To celebrate a special One Piece Night, fans attending the baseball game received an exclusive promotional card. The artwork showed Monkey D. Luffy dressed in a Dodgers baseball uniform. The artwork was created specifically for the event by Eiichiro Oda himself.
These types of promotions demonstrate how the One Piece franchise connects with mainstream sports events and pop culture.

Rutgers University Promo Card
From January 23 to March 4, 2026, ONE PIECE launched a major collaboration called ONE PIECE COLLEGE BASKETBALL: US VOYAGE, partnering with five NCAA programs: Rutgers, Gonzaga, Illinois, St. John’s, and Houston. At selected home games, fans could receive a limited Monkey D. Luffy promo card created for the campaign.
Rutgers quickly became one of the most talked-about stops on the tour. Demand for the promo was strong, and interest from collectors pushed extra attention toward the games and the giveaway itself. The campaign mixed college basketball, anime fandom, and the One Piece Card Game in a way that felt very different from normal promo distribution.
The Rutgers promo gained even more attention after a reported burglary at Jersey Mike’s Arena, where remaining One Piece giveaway cards were stolen from a locked office after a game. That incident pushed the promo further into the spotlight and added to its reputation as one of the most unusual recent event cards in the hobby.
This promotion also lined up with the wider push around the One Piece brand in the United States, including the lead-up to Netflix’s live-action Season 2. That gave the promo extra visibility beyond the usual TCG audience.

Bandai Card Game Fest Promo Cards
Another major source of special promo cards is Bandai Card Game Fest.
This is a large international event organized by Bandai where several of their trading card games are featured together. Attendees can participate in tournaments, side events, or casual play sessions.

PSA Magazine Collaboration Promo Card
Collectors who joined the PSA Collectors Club before May 31, 2024 received an exclusive promo card packaged with the July issue of the PSA Magazine.
The card features Monkey D. Luffy (OP05-060) in an alternate art Leader version, showing the Straw Hat Pirates during the Wano arc battle against Kaido’s Animal Kingdom Pirates. The illustration includes the full Straw Hat crew behind Luffy, making it one of the few cards to feature the entire crew together.
Following the success of the Luffy promo, PSA and Bandai released a second exclusive collaboration card for PSA Collectors Club members. This promo features Boa Hancock, captain of the Kuja Pirates and ruler of Amazon Lily. The card is a textured holofoil Alternate Art Leader card, showing Hancock together with her snake companion Salome.
The third PSA collaboration promo features “Red-Haired” Shanks together with members of the Red Hair Pirates.
For collectors, the PSA collaboration is notable because it connects the grading community and the One Piece TCG, two parts of the hobby that often overlap.

One Piece Day Promo Card
One Piece Day is an official celebration of the One Piece franchise organized by Bandai, Shueisha, and Toei Animation. The event started in 2022 in Japan and is typically held once per year, bringing together fans of the manga, anime, and the One Piece Card Game. During the event there are exhibitions, stage panels, announcements, tournaments, and limited merchandise. Special promo cards and commemorative items are often distributed to attendees or participants, which is why many collectors pay close attention to this event.
While the celebration is usually held in Japan, the event expanded internationally in 2025 with “ONE PIECE DAY Dallas – Card Game Celebration,” held in Dallas, Texas. This marked the first time One Piece Day was hosted outside Japan.
