Product Conditions

Unless a product page clearly states otherwise, ungraded single cards are sold in Near Mint condition and sealed products are factory sealed. This page explains what those terms mean at TCGKing.nl.

Single cards — Near Mint (NM)

We inspect ungraded single cards under good lighting before they are listed or dispatched. A Near Mint card should have a clean overall appearance and no material damage.

A Near Mint card may have a very small number of minor imperfections that are visible only on close inspection, such as:

  • A few tiny white spots along an edge or corner
  • A minor print or surface imperfection that does not materially affect the card’s appearance

A card is not considered Near Mint if it has material wear or damage such as:

  • Bends, creases or dents
  • Heavy scratches, peeling or significant edge wear
  • Ink, dirt, moisture damage or other alterations

Near Mint describes the card’s condition; it does not guarantee a particular grading result. Professional grading companies apply their own standards, and manufacturing characteristics such as centering can affect a grade.

Graded cards

For graded cards, the grading company and grade—such as PSA 10 or BGS 10—are stated in the product title or description. The card’s assessed condition is determined by that grading company rather than by the Near Mint standard above.

Sealed products

Products sold as sealed—including booster boxes, sealed cases, anniversary sets and other sealed collections—are factory sealed and externally inspected before dispatch.

Sealed inventory may come from distributors, suppliers or collectors. We do not sell a product as factory sealed if the seal appears opened, replaced or tampered with.

Outer packaging can sometimes have minor manufacturing, storage or transport marks. If a sealed product has material damage that goes beyond normal minor handling marks, this will be disclosed on the product page.

When the condition differs

If a card or sealed product differs materially from the default condition described above, the condition will be stated on the relevant product page. That product-specific description takes precedence over this general policy.
