All Special 3rd Anniversary Cards in One Piece TCG
As part of the One Piece Card Game’s third anniversary celebration, Bandai introduced an ultra-rare subset of cards known as the Special 3rd Anniversary Cards. These cards were seeded across booster sets OP-11 through OP-14, with one special card in each set, and they quickly became the top “chase cards” of those releases. In total there are four of these anniversary cards – one in each set – collectively highlighting the series’ legendary Four Emperors characters: Monkey D. Luffy, Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard), “Red-Haired” Shanks, and Buggy the Clown. In fact, each character has two variants: one with brilliant gold foil accents and one with elegant silver foil, making them even more unique.
What makes the Special 3rd Anniversary Cards particularly exciting for collectors is that they reprint earlier iconic cards – specifically, they reuse the artwork from the famous “Manga Rare” alternates – but with stunning new foil treatments.
Collectors should be aware that these 3rd Anniversary SP cards are exceedingly rare and carry significant collector value. Reports from the community indicate that their pull rates are extremely low – even rarer than the secret “manga” alt-arts that preceded them. Some estimates suggested a gold/silver Emperor card might appear only once in up to 10 cases of booster boxes (i.e. on the order of a 1 in 100+ boxes chance!), underlining just how special they are.

All 3rd Anniversary Special Rares (SP) (OP11-OP14)
OP-14: Buggy (OP09-051)
| The final piece of the 3rd Anniversary series is Buggy the Clown, coming in OP-14: “The Azure Sea’s Seven”. The Gold Buggy has a rich gold background highlighting his colorful design. |

| The Silver Buggy has a monochrome silver foil scheme. With Buggy’s inclusion, all “Four Emperors” of the One Piece world have now received 3rd Anniversary Special Rares. |

OP-13: Shanks (OP09-004)
| OP-13 “Carrying On His Will” was a special 3rd Anniversary booster, and it features Shanks as the next Anniversary SP. The pull rates for Gold/Silver Shanks appear consistent with the prior sets – extraordinarily low. |

| The Silver Shanks is presumably printed in equal or similar quantity as the gold foil version. Each of these Anniversary cards so far has been numbered as a special parallel of an older card (Shanks is a reprint of manga rare OP09-004). |

OP-12: Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard) (OP09-093)
| OP-12 “Legacy of the Master” continued the anniversary series with Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard) as the featured character, in both Gold and Silver foil versions. Pull-rate wise, Blackbeard’s cards appear to be inserted under the same extremely limited scheme as Luffy’s. |

| Blackbeard’s anniversary card is every bit as extravagant as Luffy’s. It uses the same full-foil treatment with gold etching for the character art and a silver variant with a monochrome sparkle background. Collectors who’ve pulled it have been delighted with the card’s appearance. “Such a magnificent card”. |

OP-11: Monkey D. Luffy (Gear 5) (OP05-119)
|
The first 3rd Anniversary Special Rare released. A full gold-foil reprint of OP05-119 Gear 5 Luffy. Pull rates are extremely low. In Japan’s print run the Gold Luffy averaged ~1 per 30 cases (sealed 12-box cases), and estimates for English put it around 1 in 15 cases or lower. Collectors treat this as the main chase of OP-11 thanks to the heavy gold finish and instant recognition. |

| The silver-foil counterpart shares the same anniversary slot and scarcity tier. It pulls just as rarely in practice. The pearlescent, sparkly foil gives it a different look, and many collectors pick based on design preference rather than price. |
